The President of the HOA has said that they can get the wall permitted as a privacy wall, not a flood wall, which will allow them to bypass the time taken to get permitted this will REMOVE all liability of it being a flood wall so if it fails ... you are screwed.
Claims this will be $5,000,000 (more likely $8,000,000 with interest ($231/mo additional HOA fees)
the county is unlikely going to allow the gates to be blocked off during a hurricane warning ... so the "flood/privacy wall" will not be flood/surge proof.

Continual silencing of dissent and bullying of members from David Winfield & Vince Masilotti on the OFFICIAL Royal Woods Facebook Page, which is in breach of Florida Statute 720.
The board has RUSHED the vote without ample information, instead they have silenced all opposing people and shamed them with labels such as "misinformation". Originally there was the proposal from the president that this would be a vote for ONLY THE $60,000 SURVEY and they switched that to (what read as) the full vote of construction of the wall on December 19th.

In addition, it is only pertaining to "permit-requiring items"
to our understanding NOT the entire coverage.
This suggests that their intention is to permit this as a privacy wall ...
which removes all protections you have legally if it fails to keep water out.
